Hi friends,
just wondered if anyone has any ideas about this, i have been on steroids for a long time now both high and low doses, i am now coming down after a period of 9 weeks on 25mg and have just got down to 10mg. However my chin is bright red/pink and my cheeks are going the same way, is this the streoids do you think? I've been red before but not like this.
Thanks
emilyXXX.

could it be ?SEBORRHOEIC DERMATITAS ?which i have a very red face .I haver never been on seriods but
dermatitas and things like roseasa and ance roseasa are nothing to do with the R.A but you get it cos the imumme sysym is wonky .

i get fushing on the face ..It might be something the iummue systum has thown at you ????

hello emily

i get reddness of the cheeks and chin, flushing on the tops of my arms too sometimes.

It is steroid related but you might be as well to check that your body is coping with coming down off the steroids ok- perhaps it needs to slow down a bit. You aught to have a diabetes check too...

(right old nag arent I!)

Sorry I havent replied to email. Could do with a chat sometime.

Much love to you

I am suffering from this - never had it before diagnosis but I assumed it was the enbrel as I stopped steroids last February.

The heat of course makes it worse!

Thanks chrissy, jenni, mary and ails for your replies,
i think i will call my consultant on Monday, perhaps i have come down too quickly on the steroids or maybe they have caused the rosesa.
No worries jenni about the email, will catch up soon, i think we both are not having too good a time of it at the moment, things can only get better though can't they (i hope)!
hugs and much love
